Amanda Seyfried nailed the gilded glamour at the Critics Choice Awards as she’s caught texting
Forget ‘golden hour’, Amanda Seyfried gave ‘golden all night’ as she oozed radiance at the Critics Choice Awards 2023.
The actress won an award last night for Best Actress in a Limited Series or Movie Made for Television, for her role in the 2022 mini series The Dropout, and wore the most striking haute couture Dior gown for the occasion.

The golden gown from the french fashion house’s 2020 archives was fit for a princess. The off the shoulder sleeves exuded elegance whilst the cut-out detailing assisted by a knot at the front provided a flattering silhouette. The glamour of the floor length gown was only heightened by the ultimate Cartier bijouterie.
“Critics Choice Award winner Amanda Seyfried celebrates a golden moment in a cartier collection necklace set with 5 opal-shaped faceted sapphires” said the fine jewellery house on its Instagram story.
The Mamma Mia star sported an updo with two wavy pieces shaping her face, accompanied by a bright red lip. The Old Hollywood Glamour was on point.

We’re not sure what we adored more about the occasion, Amanda’s show stopping Greek Goddess-esque attire, or her personality which shone equally as highly as her outfit.
When on the red carpet before the event, she says in an interview with Access Hollywood that the gown was "ripping and actually breaking." She then joked "I'm just going to take off my dress," as one of her tassel sleeves slipped down her arm.
We then see the Mean Girls actress’ hilarious reaction when she’s caught texting on her phone when her name was being read out for the award nomination for her category, causing the audience to have a giggle at the hilarious moment immortalised on film.
Finally, in her first Instagram grid post since adding the award to her list of accolades, Seyfried uploaded a video of her chicken (yes, chicken) watching her accept the award on TV. The caption simply says “Kitchen chicken tunes in 🏆”. Iconic.
Lily James and Anya Taylor Joy were also amongst the stars who stunned at last night’s event.
