Amanda Holden's 'vulgar' Britain's Got Talent dress provokes OfCom complaints

Amanda Holden has faced fresh criticism – and OfCom complaints – for her ‘Britain’s Got Talent’ wardrobe.
The 48-year-old presenter, together with co-presenter Alesha Dixon, infamously garnered more than 200 complaints from OfCom for her outfits during 2017’s season – most notably her so-called “stripper” look for the semi-final.
Her latest on-screen outfit, a gown created by Lebanese fashion designer Nicolas Jebran and worn during last night’s show, has provoked a fresh round of complaints.
The dress featured a spiderweb design on the chest, as well as sheer panelling that exposed parts of the judge’s chest, torso and bottom.
OfCom has received nine complaints overnight regarding the outfit, the official broadcasting regulatory authority has confirmed to Yahoo UK.
The complaints centre around the “revealing” nature of Holden’s gown on last night’s show, a representative confirmed.

More complaints have been made on Twitter, with viewers voicing their disapproval over the so-called “vulgar” dress, and the fact that it was worn on a show aimed at all ages.

Some of Holden’s fans have jumped to her defence, calling the gown “stunning” and saying Holden looks “amazing”.
Holden’s celebrity friends – everyone from Ruth Langsford to Lisa Snowdon – also praised her look in comments on Instagram.

This isn’t the first revealing dress she has worn on this year’s series.
For the semi-final round 2 on Tuesday, she wore a slashed torso gown with a thigh high split.
However, she has not yet addressed today’s backlash on social media.
