When you're a successful Hollywood star it's important to have good pals that you can count on and trust and it's even better if that pal is a celebrity too and can relate to what you're going through. The stars in this list were all friends before they found fame...

The Maroon 5 frontman and the comic actor have known each other since they were teenagers in high school together. During an interview with Howard Stern in 2014, Jonah said: "Our dads met in the principal's office in junior high. We carpooled, lived at each other's houses” Hill even officiated Levine's wedding to Behati Prinsloo in 2014.

These two child stars became friends in the 1990s. In response to a tweet questioning whether the two were genuine friends, Macaulay Culkin wrote: "Of course we're friends. @elijahwood and I will always be brothers ... until he inevitably drops me off a cliff. #SpoilerAlert." The falling off the cliff thing is a reference to the 1993 film, 'The Good Son', which they both starred in.

Amanda Seyfried is a long-time friend of the 'Good Girls' star. In fact, in 2015, Mae posted a photo of her and the 'Heavy Girls' actress from when they were younger, and in which they both appeared in similar denim looks.

The Hollywood actors have been friends since they met at a minor league baseball game. They grew up and went to school together in Boston, and both were obsessed with movies from a young age.
