Alex Jones's Infowars files for bankruptcy amid Sandy Hook lawsuits

CBS reports that several companies owned by far-right radio host Alex Jones have filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection. The news comes amid several high-profile defamation lawsuits brought against the radio host. Chapter 11 bankruptcy allows businesses to continue operating while they prepare a turnaround plan by pausing any pending civil litigations. According to court documents, the companies that filed for bankruptcy were: Infowars, Infowars Health and Prison Planet TV. In the filing, Infowars claims that it has assets of $0 to $50,000 and liabilities of $1,000,001 to $10 million.
