Alex Jones shares adorable late-night snap with her newborn daughter
The One Show’s Alex Jones shared an adorable photo with her newborn daughter late at night.
In the picture, Alex cradles her sleeping newest arrival during “the night shift,” as she described it in a caption alongside the image.
Alex offered solidarity to all those who work through the night or need to wake to care for their little ones.
“The night shift,” Alex wrote. “Emergency workers, supermarket staff, cabbies, factory workers, lorry drivers, D.J’s, fellow breastfeeders. Whatever your reasons for being awake through the night, I’m thinking of you.”
Famous friends and many of Alex’s followers offered their support by leaving encouraging messages on the post saying, “amazing lady, huge congrats” and “hope you’re all doing well.”
Fellow mum Myleene Class wrote, “I see you! Sending you love Mama xxx,” while Angelica Bell said, “weirdly miss those times! Can't wait to see you and get some cuddles! Mwah xx” and Cat Deeley added, “Remember that feeling …. And strangely loved it x”
Alex revealed on-air that she was expecting her first girl, having already had two sons, Kit and Teddy.
On Tuesday (August 24) the presenter revealed that her daughter had been born over the weekend, sharing adorable first snaps of her baby’s tiny feet alongside Alex breastfeeding from her hospital bed.
Alex said that the family were “are all beyond happy and besotted by her, especially Ted and Kit” and went onto thank the hospital staff and her midwife for all their help and support.
“Thank you to everyone at the Queen Charlotte hospital for all your support again, especially super midwife Audrey.”
