Christmas is a time when all the supermarkets really pull out the stops to dazzle us with festive ranges to better the year before, resulting in delicious new launches year after year. One of Aldi's festive launches for 2020 is a BallyCastle White Chocolate flavoured cream liqueur and it's a VERY welcome arrival.

The latest addition to the popular BallyCastle Irish Cream range from the supermarket, it's said to taste like a boozy Milkybar, which is all the convincing we need.

The new tipple costs just £6.99 and is described in the press release as: "A light yet luxurious cream liqueur with the classic flavour of cocoa butter and cream."

The supermarket promises warming notes of white chocolate with a buttery vanilla aroma.

The new liqueur can be used in festive cocktails, enjoyed over ice, or even to add an edge to cosy winter hot chocolate or vanilla latte.

If white chocolate doesn't take your fancy there's also the indulgent Caramel and Hazelnut Liqueur and the traditional Specially Selected Irish Cream, both also £6.99. For super fans, you can also buy a whole litre size bottle of the latter for just £9.89.

Looking for a non-boozy white chocolate fix? Then, you're going to be interested in this Milkybar hot chocolate we spotted a couple of weeks ago. Spotted on Kev's Snack Reviews Instagram page, the new hot chocolate is described as having a very sweet and creamy flavour, distinctive of a Milkybar chocolate. And like all good instant hot chocolates, it's so easy to make. You simply add warm milk to the powder, and et voila!
