Aldi's Selling Copycat McDonald's Chicken Selects And They're Meant To Be Just As Good
McDonald's Chicken Selects have been a long-standing favourite when it comes to the fast food chain's menu over the years. You can always count on them to be crispy, deliciously-seasoned and (most of the time) piping hot. So, it's only right someone *cough* Aldi, *cough* make a copycat version, agreed?
Well, obviously the supermarket known for taking inspiration from what we love most has just started selling Crispy Chicken Strip Boxes, with a choice of Sweet Chilli or BBQ dip.
Spotted in Aldi stores via @newfoodsuk on Instagram, the chicken strips are sold in boxes of four, and cost just £2.49.
The strips are described as "chicken breast strips in a breadcrumb coating with a separate serving dip." We don't know about you, but the idea of stocking up on these and treating ourselves for way less money is starting to sound a lot more appealing by the second...
Let's face it, it's not the first time the budget retailer has made a swift copycat version of a popular McDonald's menu item (not to mention their court case with M&S over Colin and Cuthbert the Caterpillars). Yep! Just last year Aldi released versions of McDonald's Hash Browns, and people went mad for them.
As well as the Chicken Strips and Hash Browns, Aldi's also been known to sell Chicken Nuggets and even a Big Stack Burger. Talk about giving Macca's a run for their money?
