Mother's Day is right around the corner and while Aldi might not come to mind as the best place to go shopping for a gift, they have a collection of great value candles we think would make an excellent (not to mention budget-friendly) present.

These candles are part of the Hurricane collection, and shoppers have clocked that some of the scents are fairly similar to those from luxury bath, body and home brand Jo Malone.

Jo Malone candles are globally renowned for their incredible scents and long-lasting fagrance, but the price means they're not accessible for those on a budget. The prices range from £55 for a 200 gram candle to £350 for a 2.1 kg candle.

The Aldi Hurricane Candles, however, are £24.99 for the 2.5 kg candle with some of the smaller options being priced at £3.49. There's also a range of reed diffusers, oil burners, and electric diffusers to choose from on the Aldi website, all for budget-friendly prices.

A couple of Aldi shoppers who have tried both brands said the Aldi option is a 'great value candle, smells wonderful. Very similar to the Jo Malone, not as good but the price means you can burn without a thought'.

Another added that the Hurricane Candles are a 'great alternative to Jo Malone, the smell is great'.
