For every person who needs to be toasty AF in order to drift comfortably off to sleep, there's another who prefers their bedroom to resemble a chamber of ice. When those two worlds collide, chaos ensues. Luckily, Aldi has come up with an ingenious (and extremely practical) solution for this nightmarish situation: a half-cool, half-warm duvet called the Slumberdown 'Made For You Two'.

The duvet essentially unites both temperature preferences beneath one sheet. One half of the duvet comes in at 4.5 tog – the lighter, cooler side – while the other is a warming 10.5 tog for those who can't get decent shut-eye without the bedroom resembling a sauna. No more staring at the ceiling or resentfully side-eyeing your other half as they sleep soundly through the night.

Single and plan on staying that way? The double duvet – currently £19.99 on Aldi's online market – is also an eye-opening solution for solo sleepers who don't want to fork out on two duvets for winter and summer. Or, if you shift it around 90-degrees before you dive into bed, you can keep your torso toasty and your feet cool throughout the night. In the words of Bear Grylls: improvise, adapt, overcome. "Get the sleep you deserve with this Made For You Two Double Duvet," the product description reads. "This clever duvet has one half that is 4.5 tog in thickness for the warmer months, and a 10.5 tog half for the chillier months, or, if you sleep with a partner who prefers to be warmer or colder, this duvet is the perfect solution to ensure bedtime harmony. So snuggle down, and enjoy the perfect temperature."

Given that two-thirds of British men have trouble sleeping, according to King's College London, a split-temperature blanket could be a wise investment for a better night's rest. Providing you remember which side is which, that is.
