Need a new cleanser? Aldi's £1.99 hot cloth cleanser is one of my all-time skincare favourites

  • Aldi's £1.99 face cleanser is one of my top-rated skincare products

  • The Lacura Original Hot Cloth Cleanser usually costs £2.99 but is currently reduced

  • It lasts, on average, two to three months and easily removes a full face of make-up

  • Read on for my full review including why I keep buying it and how other Aldi shoppers rate it

This cream based cleanser from Aldi is less than £3.

I'm a big believer that top-performing skincare products can found without spending a fortune, and cleansers are one product are I will rarely spend more than £10 on.

Budget supermarket Aldi has fast become a cult favourite for beauty shoppers, me included, and one of my favourite items from the Specialbuys aisle is the Lacura Original Hot Cloth Cleanser.

This creamy formula costs just £2.99 but is often slashed in price in Aldi's Specialbuys sale, so keep your eyes peeled for extra money off.

Perfect for leaving skin feeling refreshed and squeaky clean, it would be a crime for me not to share why it's long held a spot in my skincare routine.

Why I rate it

Firstly, it comes in a generously sized 200ml tube and lasts me, on average, two to three months. Just a 10p size application is needed to be left with a softer, smoother complexion.

It's vegan-friendly ingredient list is packed with rosemary, camomile, white tea, cocoa butter and eucalyptus oil, so has a gentle (but not overwhelming) scent. Despite fragrance being a common skin irritant, it has never been a bother for the rosacea on my cheeks or hormonal acne on my chin.

Designed to be applied onto dry skin and massaged in, within its box you'll also find a thin muslin cloth, which when soaked in lukewarm water will remove a full face of make-up with ease. When the muslin cloth is in the wash, a flannel will get the job done too.

Simple, fuss-free and suitable for all skin types, it's no wonder it's so popular among Aldi shoppers and boasts over 700 five-star reviews.
