Aldi’s Bargain Champagne Is The UK’s Second Best-Selling Fizz In The UK

‘Tis the season to get tiddly on fizz. Fa la la la la, la la la la!

But just because you fancy treating yourself to a bottle (or two… or three… or 12…) of Champagne, that doesn’t mean you have to break the bank doing so. Because Aldi’s bargain Champagne is a great choice. In fact, it’s the UK’s second best-selling Champagne – second only to the iconic Moët & Chandon!

Aldi is selling its Champagne for less than £14 a bottle! We told you it was a bargain!

Aldi’s Veuve Monsigny Champagne, which costs just £13.99 per 75cl bottle, has now even overtaken Lanson, according to figures from the data firm IRI.

The Champagne, which is made by husband-and-wife duo Stéphane and Virginie Philizot at a winery in the heart of Champagne, France, has won several awards over the years including most recently a bronze award at the International Wine Challenge, where it was described as having a “floral palate, fresh with little development but beautiful balance and restraint.”

Julie Ashfield, Managing Director of Buying at Aldi UK, says: “It might have shocked people to discover Aldi was behind such a great tasting glass of bubbly, but their enjoyment was no surprise to us.”

Pick up your Veuve Monsigny Champagne from Aldi now for £13.99.
