Gardening legend Alan Titchmarsh has landed a new ITV series celebrating the great outdoors.

Alan Titchmarsh: Spring Into Summer will be a nine-part primetime show set in the heart of Hampshire, and comes at a time when we're all getting ready to brave the outside world and make the most of our outdoor space.

The series will focus on our countryside, nature, and finally being able to enjoy the great outdoors once again, regardless of size; whether it's the rolling hills, or a small but perfectly formed verdant patio - or anything else in between.

There will be animals (!), ideas of what, when and where to plant for the year ahead, and seasonal produce from across the British Isles. It's a real celebration of the promise of what's to come after such a difficult 12 months.

Every week, Alan will be joined by a celebrity guest, who'll get stuck in to some planting, potter around the garden and get involved with tasting some of the food.

"Spring into Summer is the most glorious time of year to be outside, so I'm delighted to be presenting this new show that celebrates our gardens and our countryside," says Alan.

"The weather is getting warmer so it's a great time to start growing things, to take a closer look at wildlife and farm animals and to meet the folk who look after our land and our landscape."

Leanne Clarke, Commissioning Entertainment, ITV says, "I’m delighted to have Alan and his expert knowledge back at the helm in these wonderful and inspiring new shows.

"We all want to get back out into the fresh air and Alan is here to give everybody some great ideas and tips for the great outdoors."
