Airspeeder 'Celeros' Game Will Allow eVTOL Racing Fans To Take To The Virtual Skies
The team behind the world's first crewed racing eVTOL series, Airspeeder have announced the creation of Celeros – a new mixed-reality AAA racing game. In addition to allowing players to race like the real pilots who will take to the skies in the Airspeeder series, the game will have an innovative in-game economy that supports real-world social and environmental impact projects. Developed in partnership with Saltwater Games by the creators of Gran Turismo, WipEout, and Need for Speed, Celeros promises a “dynamic and authentic racing experience". Matt Pearson, CEO of Airspeeder, said “Celeros will push the envelope of what is achievable when gamers come together, revolutionsing impact through gameplay”. The Airspeeder racing series is the brainchild of founder Pearson, who also runs Alauda, the world's first performance electric flying car manufacturer. The planned global race series will eventually see a full grid of eVTOL (electric Vertical Take-Off and Landing) craft, manufactured by Alauda. Alauda Aeronautics recently unveiled the Airspeeder Mk4, the first crewed version of its flying racing car.
