What are you doing on April 30? If you’re lucky enough, you could be staying inside the world’s most famous museum.

To celebrate the Louvre’s 30th anniversary, the museum - undoubtedly one of the most magical places in Paris - has teamed up with home rental site Airbnb to offer a stay under the iconic glass pyramid inside their own mini-pyramid.

The winner and their guest will be taken into the Louvre at night after it’s closed to the public on April 30 and will be given a private tour of the museum, just like the tours given to Barack Obama, Beyoncé and Jay Z before them.

After the tour, the winner will enjoy a cosy Renaissance-inspired aperitif while lounging on comfy sofa next to the Mona Lisa before enjoying a feast in a pop-up dining room ‘hosted’ by Venus de Milo. To top off an already pinch-yourself evening, the winner will then enjoy an intimate acoustic concert in Napoleon III’s lavish Apartments before retiring to the pop-up bedroom under the pyramid.

Anne-Laure Béatrix, Deputy Managing Director of the Musée du Louvre, said in a statement: “We are happy to offer this unique and special experience for two people to stay in the museum overnight, in a bespoke pyramid shaped bedroom.

“We know that many people would love the opportunity to wander alone at night through the Louvre and we want this to be a magical and unforgettable experience. With Airbnb’s partnership, we hope to encourage more people to discover how truly accessible and inspiring the wonders of art can be.”
