Adele has made her fans' day by revealing she is going to release new music very soon.

The English singer has announced she will be officially back in ten days with new single, Easy On Me.

Her new album is to be released on October 15, as she confirmed on her Twitter in a short video posted today (October 5).

The clip contains the opening bars of Easy On Me, a beautiful piano-led track. The Rolling In The Deep singer confirmed the release date by writing: "Easy On Me – October 15."

In the black-and-white video, the singer can be seen inserting a cassette into a car stereo and looking in her car's rearview mirror, before driving down a country lane as pieces of paper fly out of the windows.

The video has been favourited more than 447k times, with fans being over the moon at the prospect of hearing Adele's new songs next week.

"I’VE PRAYED FOR TIMES LIKE THESE," one fan commented on Twitter.

"I'm ready to build fake scenarios in my head to feel the song more," was another comment.

"I won't predict it will be the biggest song of the year cause it's obvious," someone else chimed in.

And Adele lovers are rightfully excited given the Someone Like You singer hasn't released new music in six years.

The 33-year-old released 19 in 2008, 21 in 2011, and 25 in 2015. Continuing the tradition of her previous albums, all titled after a phase in her life, the singer is releasing 30 on October 15 this year.

She had also teased the upcoming album by changing her social media appearance in favour of a teal and black profile picture, suggesting a new Adele era is about to begin.
