Adele Roberts became the first famous face booted from the I'm A Celebrity...Get Me Out Of Here! jungle, however, her exit was marked by controversy after votes made by fans via the show's app were discounted due to an issue with wording.

Now, the radio host has given her view on the situation following her exit on Friday night's instalment, explaining she has "made peace" with the result of the vote.

The 40-year-old told Metro.co.uk: "Maybe it counted against me but I kinda feel whatever will be will be. I have made peace with that and all I wanted to do was make sure I stayed for the 14 days and I said last night if I got to stay it was a bonus.

"I am happy with what I achieved. I feel like I have graduated from jungle university. I could have gone anyway if the app had been working."

While the programme's hosts Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly told viewers to phone in to vote for the campmate they wanted to save, the app implied users' were 'voting off' a celebrity.

ITV have since said the same situation won't arise for the next vote-off as it was a one-time issue.

"The app was never broken, it was a wording error on the app," a spokesperson said. "So everything will be fine for the next vote off."

Roberts was greeted by girlfriend Kate Holderness as she walked across the bridge upon her exit with the pair sharing an emotional embrace as they were reunited.

When she entered the jungle, Roberts got her campmates talking by bringing in a photo of Jane McDonald as her luxury item.

Her choice was baffling to some, with Roman Kemp's bemusement resulting in a few cross words between the pair at the beginning of the series.
