It’s been six month since the tragic Grenfell fire that killed 71.

With the memorial taking place today, many turned up to pay low-key, respectful tributes to those that lost their lives and to acknowledge the devastation of the disaster.

Adele appeared at St Paul’s Cathedral, along with a number of grievers, including the families and friends of the victims as well as former residence of the building, to remember what happened on 14 June earlier this year.

Carey Mulligan and husband Marcus Mumford attended too, along with Royals Kate Middleton, Prince William, Prince Harry, and the Duchess of Cornwall.

Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn, Communities Secretary Sajid Javid, and Prime Minister Theresa May were there for the multi-faith service that accommodated some 1,500 people, including rescue workers.

The Bishop of Kensington led the tribute service despite tensions still running high between survivors and the Conservative representatives of the area, as many families – reportedly 80% – remain homeless and not yet rehoused as Christmas approaches.
