Adam Peaty's girlfriend speaks out over Katya Jones for a second time

Watch: Adam Peaty's girlfriend responds to ‘almost kiss’ on Strictly Come Dancing

Adam Peaty's girlfriend, Eirianedd Munro, has spoken out again over Katya Jones following the Strictly Come Dancing couple's near-kiss drama.

To recap, it all started after Adam and Katya's Argentine tango on 16 October, where it looked like the duo *almost* kissed following the passionate dance.

Since then, Adam himself has spoken out in response to fans' reactions, while Katya previously addressed the pair's "connection". Meanwhile, Adam's girlfriend Eirianedd took to TikTok to share her thoughts on the "almost kiss" at the time, and now she's spoken out about the drama again.

First, here's a reminder of the moment that started it all:

Addressing the reaction to the couple's dance, Eiri took to TikTok once again, telling fans that "last week was a lot" and adding, "it's so easy to feel like the world is against you".

The artist, who shares one-year-old son George-Anderson with Olympic swimmer Adam, told followers:

"I did take a little bit of a break [from TikTok] ... I want to say thank you to everyone, it actually makes me a bit emotional. To everyone who has been really nice to me because last week was a lot, and I do want to say that I appreciate people on here.

"Even if it's a thousand nice comments and one mean one, it's so easy to feel like the world is against you, and it did feel like that for a while. And then I had a reality check and I remembered that I'm not that important.

"But you guys, you made me feel so much better, those who were checking up on me and those who were commenting, I appreciate you.

"Thank you, you saved my life," she jokingly added. "No but thank you, seriously."

This isn't the first time Eiri has taken to TikTok to address the "almost kiss" drama. She previously made a funny video using the trending whining baby sound, jokingly writing, "Watching your boyfriend almost kiss another woman on live TV," before adding, "Finding out 10 million people also watched it live."

Meanwhile, Adam has also spoken out to play down the "gossip", tweeting about the Argentine tango in question back on 17 October. He wrote: "My favourite dance so far thank you to everyone who has sent supporting messages! I loved it. To everyone who wants to see what they want, your comments have real life consequences. I will not be overcome or lowered by your gossip. Protect your energy."

Pro dancer Katya previously addressed the pair's "connection", telling Hello! magazine: "I’ve worked with athletes before and they’re always prepared but I remind Adam that everyone else is doing 40 to 50 hours a week too and putting in 100 percent and it really shows.

"It’s not just about the steps and hard work; it’s also the connection and the feeling you leave people with. You don’t just do the steps; you’ve got to perform them."
