You may have missed it, thanks to Covid-19 and the lack of red-carpet photos, but the 2020 Emmys took place earlier this week. While some celebrities watched at home in their pyjamas for the virtual event, others like Normal People's Paul Mescal and Insecure's Yvonne Orji, got suitably dressed up for the occasion.

While Mescal posed a for a picture on the stairs of his home in his Louis Vuitton suit, Orji went one step further, filling her home with gold balloons, champagne and red roses.

The only thing that could outshine her home set-up was Orji herself, who looked flawless in a red sequinned, thigh-high split gown.

She paired the look with a matching deep-red lip and some seriously voluminous lashes, but as much as we adored the dress and make-up, it was her hair that really stood out.

Showing her support for the Black Lives Matter movement, Orji shaved the raised-fist salute symbol into the side of her head - and we just wish she had a red carpet to walk down, to properly show it off.

Thankfully, photographer Wendell Weithers captured Yvonne's incredible hairstyle, and to say the internet went wild for it is an understatement.

While Yvonne didn't scoop the prize for Outstanding Supporting Actress In A Comedy Series this time, it's safe to say she won the night anyway.
