What does a Railcard do?
A Railcard offers you a third off train tickets for eligible journeys for one year or three years (where the three-year option is available). There are Railcards for different types of travellers, from families to seniors, and each is priced at £30 for the year or £70 for three years.
There is also the Two Together Railcard for those traveling with a companion, the Family & Friends Railcard for up to four adults and four children (60 per cent off rail travel for children), the Network Railcard for travel in the South-East of England for up to four adults and four children, and the 16-17 Saver, which offers up to 50 per cent off rail travel across Britain for 16 to 17 year-olds.

There's now 50 per cent off the Carte Avantage discount card, which gives you 30 per cent off rail tickets.
