ABBA have just received the first Grammy nomination of their 48-year career in music.
The Swedish pop veterans have enjoyed nearly five decades in the music industry making some classic tracks, but until now they had never got the nod from the Recording Academy.
Now, the group has been nominated for a record of the year Grammy Award for their new song I Still Have Faith in You.
It's an accolade that had evaded the grasp of worldwide hits from their long career including Mamma Mia, Waterloo and Thank You for the Music.
Agnetha Fältskog, 71, Björn Ulvaeus, 76, Benny Andersson, 74, and Anni-Frid Lyngstad, 76, recently reunited to release Voyage, their ninth album and first in 40 years.
They had enjoyed huge success in the 70s but went on hiatus in 1982, although their many hits lived on and inspired films including Muriel's Wedding and Mamma Mia!, as well as the stage show Mamma Mia! was based on.
ABBA kicked off their careers as the winners of the Eurovision Song Contest in 1974 with Waterloo and are still remembered as one of the competition's favourite ever acts.

The Grammy Awards recognition might be long overdue as far as ABBA fans are concerned, but they will face some tough competition in securing the prize.
Also nominated in the same category are Jon Batiste for Freedom, Tony Bennett and Lady Gaga’s I Get A Kick Out Of You, Justin Bieber with Peaches, Brandi Carlile’s Right On Time, Doja Cat and SZA for Kiss Me More, Billie Eilish with Happier Than Ever, Lil Nas X for Montero (Call Me By Your Name), Olivia Rodrigo’s Drivers License and Silk Sonic’s Leave The Door Open.
Back in 2015, ABBA were acknowledged by the Grammys when they were inducted into the Recording Academy's Hall of Fame, but this is the first time they have been in the running for an award.
The next Grammy Awards ceremony is due to take place on 31 January, 2022.
