We've finally accepted that we're never going to be Meghan Markle and blag our own Prince Harry, so we've settled for the next best thing - becoming Meghan Markle 2.0.

From her royal wedding makeup, to the £6 mascara she's obsessed with, and the foundation that makes her look so luminous, yet natural at the same time. If we can't be Meghan, we'll be her market stall knock off.

Daniel Martin is the makeup artist responsible for enhancing Meghan's natural beauty on her big day, and in a new interview with E! News, he revealed that to really make Meghan's skin glow, he prefers to highlight with skincare, rather than makeup.

"A lot of my highlighting is done with skincare," Daniel revealed. Before adding that his favourite trick used to be applying Aquaphor - a healing ointment with a similar consistency to Vaseline - to achieve a natural highlight.

"Before highlighters, you would do highlighting with Aquaphor," he explained. "Aquaphor will give you that same texture, especially in a photo [when applied] on the high points of the face."

Daniel has since upgraded his kit and now uses a beauty balm from Jessica Alba's makeup line (which is sadly not available in the UK). However you can still recreate Daniel's luminous technique by patting a balm like Aquaphor over your highlighter.

"I don't use a highlighter product per se, but if I do, I'll lay it down with Dior-they came out with incredible highlighting palette-and what I'll do is I'll take the Honest Beauty Balm and lay it on top of it," he revealed to E! News. "It intensifies the highlight, but because of the texture of the magic balm it gives you that luminosity like you just applied moisturiser."
