Having discovered that he needs more major brain surgery, Ric will prepare to go under the knife once again next week.

However, on the day of his life-saving surgery, Ric is far more concerned with his nemesis Guy, who is preparing to learn his fate at his disciplinary hearing. Will Ric be able to put his vendetta to one side in order to focus on his health? Unlikely…

2. Max loses patience with Ric

On borrowed time before his operation, Ric is bizarrely far more preoccupied by what's happening to Guy – infuriating his friend and colleague Max in the process.

Frustrated over Ric's obsession with Guy's hearing, Max begins to lose patience – unable to understand why he isn't putting himself first.

And when his determination to destroy Guy threatens to put his health at risk, Ric ends up bitterly clashing with a furious Max. But is Ric's need to see Guy destroyed stronger than his desire to get better?

3. Essie worries about Frankie

Essie was left devastated when Frankie disappeared suddenly last night, unaware that her partner Sacha was actually behind it.

Sacha begged Frankie to give Essie more time with baby Isla, terrified that she will give up on life if she doesn't have the youngster to care for.

Confused by Sacha's silent treatment, Essie begins to wonder what he knows about Frankie's vanishing act, but will she discover the truth?

4. New romance for Chloe?

Fed up with her lack of love life, Chloe finally decides to take the dating app plunge.

As Chloe tentatively begins to navigate her way around the online dating world, she is left mortified when one of her matches is admitted to Darwin – alongside his very handsome brother...

5. Guy learns his fate

Guy is back for his disciplinary hearing next week, but with Ric determined to get him out of the hospital for good, it's clear he has some rather big mountains to climb.

Having been suspended by Max earlier this month, Guy prepares to hear his fate as he makes his case in front of the panel. But will he be allowed to return to the hospital? Or will Ric get his way?

6. Guy fights for Max

After learning his future at the hospital, Guy sets his sights on his next goal: Max. However, with so much water under the bridge, he quickly learns that this one might not be as achievable.

Still confident that they can pick up where they left off, Guy approaches Max and asks her to consider giving him a second chance.

Adamant that she can't trust him – and never will – Max immediately dismisses Guy's proposition, leaving him crushed. Hurt, Guy tells Max that she is the only reason he has stayed sober, but will she stand firm in her decision?

7. Sacha comes clean

Unsurprisingly, Sacha's lies will come back to haunt him next week when a distraught Essie pushes him for answers.

Spurred on by Fletch, Essie confronts Sacha and demands to know the real reason why Frankie left so suddenly.

Unable to withhold the truth any longer, Sacha tells Essie the truth, leaving her floored. Horrified with Sacha's behaviour, Essie gives him some difficult home truths but can she forgive him?
