Now the travel restrictions are lifted, you might want to start thinking about where to escape to
For many of us, the idea of a holiday has never been more appealing. After months of lockdown and the inevitable cancellation of trips abroad, some countries are beginning to welcome international visitors back to their shores and the UK has finally lifted its ban on overseas travel.
It's not exactly a back-to-normal situation just yet - masks are still required on all flights and the government has said it will impose a two-week quarantine period from any arrivals where covid cases start to increase, which is what happened in Spain in late July. Many places still require proof of a negative covid test, or evidence of a temperature test.
However, the possibility to travel is now an option, and, along with a much-needed break, the opportunity to help boost the economies of countries whose GDP's so desperately rely on tourism. We've rounded up the destinations now open to British holidaymakers, so you know which places are ready to welcome you with welcome arms.
