When it comes to must-try beauty products, there's no one whose recommendations we trust more than Red beauty director Eve Cameron's.
With new products and brands launching all the time across skincare, makeup and haircare, it can be tricky to work out which are really worthy of a place in your beauty routine.
As Red's beauty director, Eve – one of the key speakers at Red Smart Women at Sea 2021 in association with Celebrity Cruises – gets a first look at dozens of new beauty products every single day, putting them to the test to discover the very best, so it's safe to say she really knows her stuff.
If you're thinking of refreshing your beauty collection for the new season then listen up because Eve has revealed her top 6 favourite products worth getting on your radar.
From the latest innovations in skincare to makeup launches that really deliver, here are the best new beauty products to try this autumn...
Best new beauty products
Eve says: 'While it won’t replace my alcohol-based hand rub, I’m enjoying the fusion of hydration and protection in Grown Alchemist’s Anti-Bacterial Hand Cream with antimicrobial tea tree oil and a clean, herbal scent I find incredibly comforting.'
Eve says: 'Also in my bag is Skin Alchemists’ (no relation) Equilibrium Pulse Point Oil, created by founder Theresa Edward to alleviate her own anxiety during lockdown. For calm on the go, there’s little that works quicker.'
Eve says: 'I rarely wear foundation, relying instead on strategic use of concealer to cover redness around my nose and on my cheeks, as well as any blemishes, to even out my skin tone. My current favourite? Skin In Motion Blend It Concealer. Created by makeup artist Gia Mills, herself a rosacea sufferer, the formulation stays put but doesn’t go cakey, and is easy to build and blend.'
Eve says: 'Every product in Rosie Huntington-Whiteley’s new Rose Inc line is a gem thanks to her eye for detail and the latest technology, but my everyday go-to is the refillable Blush Divine Radiant Lip & Cheek Colour. Dabbed on with fingers it leaves me ready to face the world.'
Eve says: 'I have more serums than pairs of shoes (which is saying something because I do love shoes) and I’ll vary them according to what my skin needs, how it looks and perhaps also the time of year. A recent discovery is Skin W1 London’s Collagen Stimulating Serum. I used it down to the last drop because it had such a positive effect on my skin (brighter, glowier, firmer, clearer) thanks to its collagen stimulating copper amino acid complex. Expensive, but it is good stuff.'
Eve says: 'As someone who still (still, at my age!) suffers breakouts I am always cautious about face oils because there’s no doubt in my mind that some do clog my pores. Many derms I know advise against them if you have oily/breakout-prone skin, though equally many other experts I know say most oils won’t cause congestion. I’m pleased to report that Biossance 100% Squalane Oil doesn’t. Well, for me at least. My skin drinks it up.'
