'I absolutely adore velvet lips at the moment - literally that texture of rose petals. The velvety-ness absorbs all the light so it looks completely matte but it's still very comfortable to wear, it's not dry at all.'

'Do one swipe of lipstick then go around the edges with your finger or with a small brush to create a diffused edge. Stains are great for wearing masks but they can feel dry unless you're layering it under a balm. A velvety lipstick stays put as well as anything without feeling tight or dry.'

I like to put one shade of eyeshadow on the eyelid then top with some balm so it looks like just a really healthy lid. Pair that with a matte lip and it's quite a nice way to modernise your make-up.'

'My insider tip for doing balmy lids is to avoid waterproof mascara. Everyone thinks you should use it but actually they're designed to be resistant to water, and the oil in the balm or gloss you use on your eyes will break down a waterproof mascara quicker than a normal one. Leave a little gap between your lashes and the balm when you apply it and your mascara will last way longer.'

'In my opinion, everyone wants to be glowy and look healthy. I think this transition happened last year where people moved away from that super metallic highlight into something a little bit more grown up, I would say, a little bit more natural. It's more of a healthy looking, dewy glow that looks just like you've got your skincare on point rather than seeing too much product sitting on the skin.'

'The more layers of make-up there are, the more things are going to rub off. Which is why I always avoid applying foundation to any areas I'm going to put concealer. If you've got a layer of foundation and you're putting concealer on top, it's just another layer, so it's more likely to crease, move around and rub off.'

'Contouring will always have a place in make-up, but, for me, the product I think changes the shape of your face the most is blusher. I know a lot of people are scared of blusher because it's been all about bronzer and contour for so long, so one of my favourite things to do is to take your favourite lipstick and, as soon as you've applied your foundation, blend some into your cheeks.'

'Where you place your blusher makes a massive difference to how your skin looks. I'm a big fan of taking it slightly higher around the temples or even taking it just a little bit lower on the cheek so it looks like you've just been for a run in the cold - a really fresh-faced look.'
