Halloween is fast approaching but fear not. If you still have no idea whether to opt for a full-on scary vibe or more of a sexed-up look, let these easy make-up tutorials guide your decision.

They may look impossibly difficult at first but trust us when we say you don’t need a make-up artist on call. With each one taking under 10 minutes, you’ll be ready in no time.

The best thing about these spooky masterclasses? Once you’ve perfected the face, the outfit won’t even matter. A money saver all round.

Vampire

This bloodthirsty look will only take you five minutes. Who could ask for more? Simply cover yourself in pale foundation and pile on the red eyeshadow to make those eyes look like you haven’t slept in a decade. Some wise words from Cherry for those of us less than skilled in the beauty department: “You don’t have to be neat. This is not a glamorous beauty look.”

Medusa

All you need is a hairnet (or an old pair of fishnet tights) and some green pigment for this monstrous character. Spice it up with some creepy contacts and don’t forget the strong winged eyes to really finish the look. Note: fake snakes optional.

Witch

Perfect for all those last minute types. Again, make your whole face super pale and go wild with the green eyeshadow. Black lips amp up the witchy vibe as does a hint of ghoulish glitter. All yours in under two minutes.

Pop Art Wonder Woman

Comic book styles are all the rage this year. And they’re a lot easier than they look. To turn yourself into a sculpted Wonder Woman, simply throw on your normal face make-up including contouring and highlighting. Blacken your brows, wing your eyes and draw on a number of cartoon-ish lines with some simple black eyeliner. Oh and don’t forget the red lips.

Harley Quinn

Seeing as half the world are planning to don Suicide Squad’s Harley Quinn costume, you might as well make sure your make-up is on point. This doesn’t require a steady hand. In fact, go as messy as you like with the pink and blue eyeshadow. Top off the look with red lipstick and a couple of face tattoos if you’re feeling brave.
