Consider this your cue to treat yourself: the Glossier friends and family sale is officially underway. This means you can nab your beauty favourites and skincare holy grails with a very welcome 20% off.
Glossier sales are a very rare occurrence: last year's practically broke the internet and I predict this year will be much the same. So, my advice is to keep your fingers on the mouse if you want to score some big savings in the oh-so-cool brand’s sale of the summer.
What is Glossier, anyway?
The only excuse to have not heard about Glossier is if you’ve been living under a rock for the past couple of years. But if you want a refresher, here is a brief explainer of the ultimate ‘cool girl’ brand’s stratospheric rise.
Glossier first launched back in 2014, with Queen of all things chic Emily Weiss at the helm (she's actually just left, but let's not panic yet). The brand then quickly picked up speed for its ‘skin first, makeup second’ philosophy, and became the champion of the minimalist beauty trend.
Its sleek products, along with its social media approved pretty-in-pink packaging, quickly became a feature on the most well-curated Instagram feeds – but that’s not to suggest the brand is all style and no substance. Products like Boy Brow, Cloud Paint and the Milky Jelly Cleanser quickly became repeat purchases of mine and all my like-minded beauty fiends.
So, whether you are a new Glossier convert or a long-time devotee, read on for my all-time favourites from the brand. These are the crème de la crème and definitely ones to consider trying out (or stocking up on) in this year’s Glossier sale.

I like the ‘It’s All in the Bag’ as it’s a one-stop-shop for a whole beauty look – going straight in my basket. Happy shopping!
If you’ve ever been envious of that mate that’s never plucked their natural brows, then the aptly-named Boy Brow should be just the ticket. The grooming pomade helps to tame and shape unruly hairs while brushing on a tint of colour to give the appearance of thicker and more luscious eyebrows.
As someone whose brows are on the sparse side, this has become my new go-to. I opt for the brown shade, as I prefer my brows a little darker than my blonde hair, and it does a great job at creating a full look without looking too overdone – no Sharpie-style strokes here.
Cloud Paint was my first introduction to Glossier, and it has remained a staple in my makeup bag ever since. A beautifully creamy liquid blush and is the key to achieving super-dewy skin we all want right now. Unlike others of its ilk, this one doesn’t go streaky or ruin your foundation – no mean feat.
For me, on my ‘no makeup’ makeup days, I forgo foundation and simply sweep this over my cheeks for a fresh-looking flush – Dusk is my shade, but there’s absolutely something to suit everyone.
The Milky Jelly Cleanser is one for the Glossier hall of fame. The universal formula will get on with any skin type, and is pH-balanced to keep your skin barrier happy (that's more important than it sounds, FYI). This is one of the few makeup removers that doesn’t sting my eyes when removing my mascara, yet can still manage to shift even my hardiest waterproof formulas.
This one is actually a new product to the Glossier cohort and had me impressed from the first touch. It’s a thick, balm-like product that is specifically formulated for extra dry skin and has been a saviour for my complexion when recovering from harsh acne treatments. I used this all winter, when the cold wreaked havoc on my dry patches, and I plan to keep one in my beach bag for healing sun-soaked skin.
It’s hard to put your finger on what this perfume actually smells like, as it smells a little different on everyone. The top notes are pink pepper and creamy iris, which then deepens into a woody amber scent.
Mostly, the resounding feeling of this perfume is warm, comfortable and down-to-earth. I’ve lost count of how many times I’ve been asked what I’m wearing – and it’s down to this.
