Ever wondered what your organising personality type is? Well, the team at Brabantia have teamed up with decluttering expert Vicky Silverthorn to reveal the five popular organising styles and what they reveal about your character.

With more of us decluttering our spaces during lockdown, it's no surprise that Brabantia's research found that Brits are creating indoor sanctuaries by cleaning, clearing and decluttering.

"People are finding they have more time than ever to invest in organising their home and creating functional and comfortable spaces, and we have seen an increase in demand for products such as rotary dryers to do laundry at home, and bins to manage recycling and waste," say the team.

Take a look at the five personality types below to find which home organiser personality you are...

1. 'The Practical'

"Tidying up is a breeze for this person, within 10 minutes the house is looking spotless without what looks like any effort," Vicky Silverthorn says. If you love to clean — and are good at doing it quickly — then this is your personality trait.

2. 'The Show Home'

From perfectly plump cushions to spotless kitchen counters, does your house always look like a show home? Vicky says: "Their home is clean and shiny at all times, and the pride in their immaculate space is clear. It's just so!"

3. 'The Try Hard'

"This person really wants to be tidy; the intention is there but there's always too much 'stuff' they're buying," Vicky adds. Could this be you?

4. 'The Natural'

If you love to live a minimal lifestyle and can easily declutter your home, then this is your personality trait. "They don't live with much stuff, so organising their belongings is easy, everybody always compliments how tidy their home is."

5. 'The Throw Away'

This person enjoys shopping for homeware updates, but equally finds pleasure in having a mass clear out every few months. If this is you, then you love to accumulate around the home, but don't mind a good tidy up later on in the year. Can you relate? It's probably not the most sustainable lifestyle so maybe consider buying less new items so there is less to clear out or donate.
