Natalie Mariduena first posed for the SI Swimsuit Issue in 2021, when she traveled to Hollywood, Fla., alongside photographer James Macari. The lifestyle brand founder returned to the fold the following year, and her magazine feature took her to Belize, where she worked with visual artist Yu Tsai.
“I grew up seeing the Sports Illustrated magazines too, and the calendars, and all these beautiful women that would always be displayed in the pages of their magazine. I got into Sports Illustrated through Instagram,” she told Grazia of her initial experience with SI Swimsuit, which involved a social media poll. “ ... It was the most surreal experience. I had never done any sort of editorial photo shoot, let alone with 20-plus people. But it was extremely empowering, and it made me feel like the coolest, baddest girl on the block. It was an awesome experience.”
When she traveled to Central America for her 2022 SI Swimsuit Issue feature, Mariduena donned several bright and beautiful bikinis and one-pieces for the occasion. The photo shoot’s styling was inspired by the jungle setting of the location, so florals, structured pieces and bold jewelry were all prevalent throughout the snaps Mariduena posed for.
In addition to her work in front of the camera, Mariduena is the president of David Dobrik LLC, and the founder of her own lifestyle brand, Eladay. In honor of her continued success across multiple verticals, we’re throwing it back to a few of our favorite pics from Belize.
