4 NARS Products You Need To Try

I love makeup as much as the next girl and I love trying out new products. I enjoy experimenting with lots of different brands and products including MAC, Bobbi Brown, Benefit etc.

However, on my most recent trip to Harvey Nichols, I decided to try more of another renowned brand - NARS. I had always heard good reviews and also done my own online research. So I recently went on a mini shopping spree, spending lots of my hard earned cash on some NARS goodies.

NARS Sheer Glow Foundation

I was previously using Bobbi Brown Intensive Skin Serum Foundation, which was also great but has now sadly ran out. Therefore, I was in two minds whether to continue with my current foundation or try something new.

As mentioned, I like trying different products so I opted for the Sheer Glow foundation which is amazing. The colour match is 100% perfect (Syracuse/ Medium/Dark 1) and the sheer consistency of the foundation is just right for me.

Personally, I don’t like to apply my foundation too heavy and this product allows for that. I can build up the coverage depending on my preference, easily blending it with my Beauty Blender, without looking like it’s overly caked on my face.

NARS Light Reflecting Pressed Setting Powder

I don’t usually use powder once I’ve applied my concealer or foundation and I’m not sure if that is the right or wrong thing to do. However, after five minutes at the NARS counter - I was sold!

This powder effortlessly made my make up look ‘complete’, whilst ultimately setting my foundation. It counteracted the shine and really helped my make up stay in place over the day. The texture of the setting powder is so silky and weightless, whilst so easy to blend in. Another wonderful product from NARS.

NARS Highlighting Blush

NARS Orgasm blush teamed with this NARS highlighter in Albatross is an absolute dream. This highlighter creates an instant dewy radiance on the skin, which suits all skin tones. I sweep it across my cheekbones and brow bone (for extra definition when doing my brows).

The highlighter is lightweight, which again allows you to build the intensity. It is super subtle, made up of gold hues and fortunately is not super glittery, as I much prefer a dewy, radiant finish.

I own a fair few highlighters, including Benefit High Beam and the Bobbi Brown Shimmer Brick. However, I’d say NARS Albatross is one of the best highlighters I have come across. I always receive compliments when I have it on, so it must look good, right?!

NARS Aqua Gel Luminous Oil-Free Moisturiser

I have never tried NARS skincare products before, until I decided to purchase the NARS Aqua Gel Luminous Oil-Free Moisturiser. If I could describe this product in three words, they would be: refreshing, light-weight and cooling (I know that’s maybe technically 4 words but nevermind!).

Personally, I find moisturising boring, but it is so so important to do so. It’s easy with the NARS moisturiser. It comes in an awesomely designed pot, which is easy to scoop the moisturiser out.

The moisturiser is light weight and keeps my skin hydrated and soft throughout the day. It’s good for my skin type too, being normal to slightly dry. The fragrance of the moisturiser is quite fresh, which is always a bonus
