If there is one wardrobe we'd like to have a peek inside, it's the Duchess of Cambridge's. From star high street pieces to on-off couture and designer outfits, Kate gets it right every single time she steps out.

And she certainly got our seal of approval the she donned one of her favourite designer labels, Alexander McQueen for a virtual appearance from Amner Hall last summer, chatting with hospital workers located in British Columbia to celebrate Canada Day.

Tuning in from her home in Norfolk, the duchess wore a stylish red tweed short-sleeved dress, costing upwards of £300. It promptly sold out, but, the good news is that the ever-reliable high street brand has delivered an alternative to this royal-approved style.

Our very own Marks & Spencer have created a sustainably sourced cotton-blend dress that has short sleeves and is knee-length, just like the McQueen tweed look. Plus, it's a fraction of the price tag and, if that wasn't enough, it's currently on sale from £59 to just £34.

'This dress is so stylish and smart - great colour too,' wrote one previous shopper, while another added:

'Very elegant. I absolutely loved this dress. Very stylish and chic! Beautifully made too.'

As ever, with many items from M&S and certainly anything linked to the duchess, the dress is selling fast and is already unavailable in several sizes, so we'd suggest heading to the checkout ASAP.
