Three people have died after three vehicles, including a tanker truck carrying jet fuel, were involved in a fiery crash on a Pennsylvania highway.

Police said the incident began late Saturday morning when a white Acura got a flat tire while traveling northbound on Interstate 476 on the Northeast Extension of the Pennsylvania Turnpike in Montgomery County, according to NBC affiliate WGAL and FOX affiliate WTXF-TV.

A second vehicle, traveling behind the Acura, put on its hazard lights before coming to a stop in an attempt to help the disabled vehicle, WGAL and ABC affiliate WPVI-TV reported.

The tanker truck was then unable to stop in time, and slammed into both vehicles, sparking a massive blaze that engulfed all three vehicles.

Per reports, the driver of the Acura was transported to a local hospital. Their condition remains unclear at this time.
