It's no wonder the world is obsessed with Netflix's Bridgerton. It's like a fresh take on Pride and Prejudice, with diverse casting, beautiful styling, stunning locations and a business-like approach to love and marriage that makes modern-day dating look positively lazy.

It's one of those series that makes you want to google all of the questions as soon as you finish the final episode: where have I seen the cast before? What's with the insect symbolism running throughout? Did the cast really attend a six-week regency bootcamp before filming?

We're also a little obsessed with the Regency-era hair and makeup, and after finding out the exact products responsible for Daphne Bridgerton's glow (including a £5 face mask), we dug a little deeper into the girls' (and guys') on-set beauty routines...

Luckily, we got some intel from the show's hair and makeup designer Marc Pilcher, who was responsible for some of the incredible hairstyles, including Eloise's mullet (a Regency-era trend, apparently) and Cressida's sugary-sweet sky scrapers, with bows, ribbons and pearls sewn in.

"To create the updos, we needed a good setting spray, tight rollers or a wooden dowelling set," Marc told us. "And when dressing out, they had to be well pinned to keep them in place, with a small amount of finishing spray."

Marc then went on to reveal his go-to hair brand on set: Hask, which also happens to be a Cosmopolitan Beauty Awards winner.

"The cast loved using HASK conditioning masks," he told us. "We would send them home with a mask that suited their hair for a weekend of pampering, so they got a nice treat and we had beautiful hair to work with. We used them on the wigs and hair pieces as well as the actors' hair."

If Regency-style pampering is always so affordable, we're into it...
