3 effortless summer hairstyles for curly hair
Curly girls know their tresses can be hard to tame. So why not just embrace it! There’s nothing better than the carefree styling which comes with summer. If you’re stuck for hairstyle ideas here are a few go-to looks which work for the everyday. No skills are required here. All of these styles are easy to do and take minutes to perfect. Texture and frizz give the styles more interest and volume but if you’d prefer, simply add gel or a serum for a smoother finish.
Twisted Top
Step 1
Comb through the hair gently to remove any tangles or knots. Then create a parting in the middle or to one side, depending on your preference.
Step 2
Taking a small section at the top twist the hair from the start of the parting on one side until you reach the ends. Secure at the back of the head with a Bobby pin (making an ‘x’ shape will help keep thick hair firmly in place). Repeat on the other side.
Half Bun
Step 1
Divide the hair in half roughly from ear to ear.
Step 2
Twist the top half into a bun securing any loose hairs with a hair tie and bobby pins.
Side Pony
Step 1
Brush hair loosely to one side and position low at the neck. Then grab a hair tie and secure in place.
Step 2
Take a small section of hair and wrap it around the base of the ponytail to hide the hair tie.
