Superyacht inspired by crab can travel on land

A superyacht inspired by a crab has been developed.

The 'Pagurus' is a solar-powered amphibious catamaran.

It features special rotating cylinders that lower to enable it to travel on land.

The so-called 'Crabmaran' version is able to move on sand or mud at up to 30 km/h.

Italy's Lazzarini design studio say the vessel has a two-year build time.

Prospective buyers can expect to pay up to £22M for the amphibious 'Crabmaran' model.
