Report: Trump took £570k worth of art from US ambassador’s residence in France

Following accusations that he insulted US war dead during a trip to France in 2018, Donald Trump is facing a new bombshell report concerning his behaviour on the same visit.

According to a report by Bloomberg, the president took a fancy to several works of art in the US ambassador's residence in Paris, and decided to have them loaded on to Air Force One and brought back to the White House.

The works of art - a portrait, a bust and a set of silver figurines - are believed to be worth in the region of £570,000.

While the decision to remove the art was not illegal, it nonetheless caused something of a row.
