Woman exposes her boss’ hilarious video call mishap: ‘Our team is still laughing’

A Twitter user is going viral after sharing the "hilarious" video chat she endured with her boss.

The user, who goes by the username @PettyClegg, shared a screenshot from a recent Microsoft Teams meeting with several of her coworkers. Two employees in the photo appeared relatively normal, but the third, @PrettyClegg's boss, seemed to be having some trouble.

"My boss turned herself into a potato on our Microsoft Teams meeting and can't figure out how to turn the setting off, so she was just stuck like this the entire meeting," @PettyClegg tweeted.

And sure enough, her boss, later identified as Lizet Ocampo, appeared in the photo as nothing more than two eyes, a pair of red lips and a small, potato body.

The image immediately went viral, earning more than 600,000 likes in its first 24 hours online. Reactions to the tweet were apparently so enthusiastic that @PettyClegg had to get her coworkers involved.

"Glad @sam_del_vecc & @_jalinsky90 held it together with me today while #potatoboss@mlizetocampo figured out @Microsoft teams," she wrote in a follow-up tweet.

Even Ocampo, the "Potato Boss" herself, got involved. Ocampo embraced her mistake in a pun-heavy response.

"I yam potato boss. You should see me in a crown, right @billieeilish? I yam glad this is making folks laugh at this time. Please stay planted at home and safe!" she wrote.

@PrettyClegg even returned with her own series of jokes, tweeting that she avoided being "sacked" and that she and her boss managed to "hash things out." She was also sure to add that "our team is still laughing with you all."

The entire exchange struck a chord with thousands of Twitter users, many of whom claimed that it was the "best thing" they'd ever seen.

"I laughed wayyy too hard at this," one user wrote.

"I want to congratulate her colleagues that could keep running this meeting under this situation. It would be impossible for me," another added.

Several users even asked how they could replicate the #potatoboss incident themselves, with @PrettyClegg sharing that the filter was actually a Snapchat add-on for the Microsoft Teams app.
