Tom Hanks' son Chet gives update on parents after coronavirus diagnosis
Tom Hanks' son Chet has said his parents are "fine" in the wake of their coronavirus diagnosis.
On Thursday the Hollywood actor revealed he and his wife Rita Wilson, both of whom are currently in Australia, had tested positive for the virus.
Chet shared a video message to his Instagram followers detailing how he had communicated with his parents, telling fans he didn't think "it's anything to be too worried about".

He said in the footage: "Wassup everyone. Yeah, it's true my parents got coronavirus. Crazy.

"They're both down in Australia right now 'cause my dad was shooting a movie down there. I just got off the phone with them. They both are fine. They're not even that sick. They're not worried about it. They're not trippin' but they're going through the necessary health precautions, obviously."
"I don't think it's anything to be too worried about," he went on. "I appreciate everyone's concern and the well wishes. I think it's all going to be alright. I appreciate it. Everybody stay safe out there. Much love."
The 63-year-old Forrest Gump actor shared that he and wife Rita, also 63, had experienced symptoms, including body aches and chills, and so were tested for coronavirus.

He is currently on the Gold Coast in Queensland to film an Elvis biopic by filmmaker Baz Luhrmann where he has been cast as Colonel Tom Parker, the singer's manager.
Tom explained in a message to Instagram: "Well, now. What to do next? The Medical Officials have protocols that must be followed. We Hanks' will be tested, observed, and isolated for as long as public health and safety requires.
"Not much more to it than a one-day-at-a-time approach, no? We'll keep the world posted and updated."
