Mobile phone-using customer triggers fire at petrol pump in south India

One unlucky biker in southern India learned the hard way after ignoring warnings not to use mobile phones - and ended up sparking a fire at the petrol pump.

The incident, which was caught on CCTV, sees the motorbike explode into flames before everyone runs for safety. Petrol station workers can be seen frantically trying to douse the blaze with clumps of sand thrown by hand.

The man on the motor bike appeared not to be seriously injured.
