Anna Nicole Smith's daughter Dannielynn Birkhead gets epic graduation surprise from dad, Larry Birkhead

Congratulations are in order for Dannielynn Birkhead!

The daughter of the late Anna Nicole Smith graduated from seventh grade in Louisville, Kentucky, this week, and her father, Larry Birkhead, gave her an epic present to congratulate her -- Hamilton tickets!

"Surprised Dannielynn with @hamiltonmusical tickets for her 7th grade graduation," he captioned a photo collage on Instagram. "I think she was happy! hamiltonlouisville #hamilton #graduation #kycenterforthearts"

In the three photos shared on Larry and Dannielynn's joint Instagram account, the 12-year-old preteen shows off her floral, tea-length graduation dress that she paired with strappy sandles and wore with a cute updo. Of course, her resemblance to her late mother is undeniable.

Dannielynn's graduation follows her annual outing last month with her dad at the Kentucky Derby, which is where Larry initially met Anna Nicole all those years ago. For their appearance this year, Dannielynn paid homage to her late mother by wearing the big pink hat that she wore to the horse race back in 2004.

Anna Nicole Smith died in 2007 from an accidental overdose, and Larry explained two years ago in an exclusive interview with Entertainment Tonight that his daughter attaches herself to female role models in the absence of a mom.

"She is clinging to the female teachers," Birkhead said. "She's clingy to her girlfriends' moms and she'll say things like, 'Do you want to adopt me? Would you be my honorary mother?' She tends to do that a lot."
