Emilia Clarke studied Hitler for final Game of Thrones speech

Emilia Clarke told Variety that she watched speeches by dictators, such as Hitler, to be able to deliver Daenerys' speech in High Valyrian.

The actress analysed the way the Nazi dictator spoke and moved in videos rallying his supporters.

Clarke said she spent two months preparing for the scene – often delivering it to inanimate objects in her Northern Ireland home.

"This speech meant so much to me. I was so worried that I was going to f**k it up. I stayed up so late every night for like two months. I said it to my cooker, I said it to my fridge," she said in the interview.

Though the fate of Clarke's character didn't appease some fans, she revealed that she was happy with the conclusion herself.
