Spoiler warning: The following piece contains information about "Game of Thrones" Season 8, Episode 5.

"Game of Thrones" fans are expressing dismay, annoyance and a bit of amusement over another apparent continuity error in the show's eighth and final season.

Jamie Lannister met his end in Sunday night's "The Bells," locked in an embrace with his sister (and lover) Cersei as her castle crumbled and crushed them to death. Ahead of the episode, a promotional image teased the dramatic moment, but fans were distracted by Jamie's hand — which was chopped off in season 3.

Jamie was wearing his fake gold hand throughout the episode, but it appears the prop didn't make its way onscreen for all of his takes. Although the promo image lives forever thanks to the internet, the mistake was corrected for the episode itself.

The gaffe, which aired during the penultimate episode of the series, comes just one week after viewers spotted a Starbucks coffee cup that was accidentally left on a table during a scene. But this time around, it feels more personal: Fans are lamenting the apparent carelessness of the errors, with one fan complaining, "We waited two years."

"How do we start a petition to reshoot season 8?" another mused.

While the gold hand remained in tact for the broadcast, that wasn't enough to curb some fans' dismay about Jamie's overall arc from series beginning to end.

The final episode of "Game of Thrones" airs this coming Sunday at 9 p.m. on HBO.
