Met Gala 2019: Kim Kardashian channels Sophia Loren in sexy red carpet moment
Kim Kardashian took some inspiration from vintage Hollywood for her 2019 Met Gala look.
The KKW Beauty founder hit the Met Gala red carpet on Sunday night alongside husband Kanye West in a faux-wet look inspired by Sophia Loren's iconic wet dress moment in the 1957 film, Boy on a Dolphin.
The skintight Mugler ensemble, which was designer Thierry Mugler's first design for his eponymous fashion house in two decades, featured a cinched midsection that put Kardashian's signature curves on display and highlighted her teeny waist. It was adorned with hundreds of fake drops of water. She finished off her sexy look with wet hair and translucent slip-on heels.
Before hitting the carpet, Kardashian posted two photos of Loren in the 1957 film and captioned it, "mood", implying that her look was inspired by what many have referred to as the original wet t-shirt moment.
Kardashian was joined by other members of her famous family: Kendall Jenner, Kylie Jenner, Kris Jenner and her boyfriend, Travis Scott.
