Land Rover unveils new ultra-rugged smartphone

Adventurous, outdoorsy types may be wary of taking their expensive smartphones out when skiing, hiking, or even off-road driving – but Land Rover could have the answer. It's created a new, ultra-rugged smartphone named the Explore.

The Android-powered blower is a fair bit bulkier than most modern smartphones, but packs a big punch. It's water, splash and dust resistant to military-grade IP68 resistance, and drop-proof to an impressive 1.8 metres. It also packs in a vast 4,000mAh battery, which the company says is capable of powering the phone for two full days with the screen constantly on.
