We may be heading towards the end of the summer but it's not all bad news because this month's Premium Bonds winners have been revealed!

It's bad luck for the ladies in September however, as this month's winners are both men - one from Northumberland and one from Nottingham.

The winner from Northumberland is breaking new ground as he is the first person from the county to win the £1m jackpot in the Premium Bonds.

He has a total holdings of £19,994 and won his £1m prize with bond number 048DQ389856, which was bought in July 2003.

The second winner is the sixth person to have hit the jackpot in Nottingham and won with bond number 033HH173110.

He bought his winning bond in October 2000 and holds the maximum amount of £50,000 in Premium Bonds.
