Free Valentines gifts for yourself
Free Valentines gifts for yourself

There are some people who will be blown away by the generosity of their loved ones, and given endless wonderful gifts for Valentine's Day. The rest of us - whether we're single, we're rising above the commercialisation of human emotion, or our other half is a skinflint - will have to treat ourselves.

Fortunately, there are some handy freebies that will let us do exactly that, without breaking the bank.

Free Coke Zero
Nationed, the deal-sharing community, has spotted that anyone with the Greggs app has received a voucher for a free Coke Zero. If you don't have the app yet, its may be too late for this deal. However, there are regular freebies available if you do - plus birthday giveaways - so it's well worth downloading it.

Free Chambord Royale
The users of have spotted a Pitcher & Piano deal for February. You just sign up for the monthly newsletter, and in return you'll get a cocktail or a bottle of Blue Moon. At the moment, the newsletter comes with a freebie each month, so it's the gift that keeps on giving.

Free Lego build
This is one for the kids - although technically you're giving yourself an hour or so of free entertainment, so you can take a breath during Half Term. On February 11th, between 1pm and 3pm, All Toys R Us stores (except Swansea) are running a free Lego mini build event - where the kids get to build a Lego Batman vehicle.

Free Drops of Light
The Body Shop is giving away its Drops of Light serum - which apparently makes your complexion brighter. Al you have to do is sign up on the Facebook page, and get a voucher, then take it into a store to claim your freebie.

Free Subway
It's not Valentine's Day, it's apparently Subway Customer Appreciation Day. On February 14, when you buy any large drink or water, you get a free 6" sub. The large drink costs £1.30 and the water £1.20, so it's a great freebie. Latestdeals points out that although the deal technically runs from 11am-7pm, last year some stores ran out of food before the official close, so it's better to go sooner rather than later.
