Is this the most festive pub in Britain?

A pub in London has been dubbed 'the UK's most festive pub' thanks to its impressive Christmas decorations.

The Churchill Arms in Notting Hill has put up more than 20,000 lights and 90 trees in its festive display, which took around a week and a half to perfect.

Landlord Gerry O'Brien has been decorating the pub like this for more than 30 years.

Speaking to the BBC, he said: "We want to make the lights look better every year and it really does make a striking impression."

According to the Daily Mail, the pub spends around £30,000 a year on decorations, including £25,000 on flowers during the summer months.

For those who fancy seeing the display in all its glory, the decorations will be up at the pub until mid-January.

Meanwhile, people have been travelling hundreds of miles to see an incredibly festive home that has been dubbed the 'best decorated house in Europe'.

Every year, John Reynolds and Sheila Gill decorate their Newport home with hundreds of thousands of lights and open it up to the public every evening in the run up to Christmas.

Last year they raised more than £17,500 for various different charities and this year they are hoping to raise even more.

The impressive display has taken the couple more than 12 weeks to put together, with John starting the process on the August bank holiday weekend.
