British Airways has launched its Black Friday sale - offering discounts on holidays to all manner of top destinations.

Black Friday will see a whopping £5 billion spent by British consumers. But it is NOT just about tech and toys, or even electricals.

The airline carrier is treating prospective travellers to an array of special offers, great deals and fantastic savings on its flights and holidays.

The offers will be available all weekend until midnight on Cyber Monday, November 28.

Savings of up to 49 per cent will be available on flights to top North American destinations New York, Boston, Washington, Chicago, Philadelphia, Atlanta, Baltimore and Toronto.

Passengers can also get their hands on cheaper tickets to as Middle Eastern hot-spots Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Muscat, as the airline is offering two return Club World tickets for £2,016.

Other offers include savings of up to £500 per person on British Airways Holidays to the US and Canada.

Holidaymakers can also take advantage of slashed prices on European city breaks to a variety of locations.

These include Barcelona, Venice, Malaga, Alicante, Naples and Turin - with the price coming to £99, including flights and two nights' accommodation.

Adam Daniels, British Airways' chief commercial director, said: "An estimated £1.1 billion was splashed out on Black Friday in the UK in 2015 so this year we are expecting a huge surge in traffic to ba.com with savvy shoppers logging on to grab a bargain.

"This weekend is a fantastic time for holidaymakers to book a trip as the savings they can make could cover their spending money."
