Freebie Friday: Get out, get fed, and look good for free
Getting out and about can be cheaper than you think, as Uber is offering free rides during August in locations around the UK. You don't have to worry about spending too much getting ready to go out either, as we have a handy beauty freebie. And we've got breakfast, smoothies and lunch on-the-go covered too with a handful of foodie giveaways.
Free Uber
The users of HotUKdeals.com have spotted that Uber is offering free rides in various UK cities during August: the deal applies for existing customers as well as newbies, so everyone can take advantage. You just open the app at any time on the day the deal is running, order uberX or uberXL, and the first £10 of the journey is free. The deal is running in various cities around the UK. The hitch is that the days they are running on will vary, so it's worth searching for your city and checking local press for details. So, for example, in Nottingham, it's every Monday in August, while in Bolton it was every day this week (and is still running today).
Free breakfast
You can pack a free 'Up&Go nutritious breakfast on the go' drink. They cost £1.40, but all you have to do is buy any variety of the breakfast drink from Tesco, Sainsbury's, Asda or Waitrose (before 16th August), then take a photo of the receipt, upload it to Quidco, and you'll get the money back.
Free kids' meals
The users of HotUKdeals.com have spotted that La Tasca is giving away free kids' meals until 5 September. For every free child you'll need to have an adult spending at least £10 on food, but given that a kids' meal usually costs £5.95, it's a decent saving. If they're feeling brave they can tuck into less familiar tapas, but if not, there's always fishfingers and chips to choose from. Plus there's dessert thrown in for free.
Free Pret Smoothie
Prêt a Manger is giving away free smoothies today. All you need to do is visit the Facebook page, get hold of the secret password, then say it to a staff member and collect your freebie.
Free nail varnish
Until 21st August vouchercodes.co.uk is offering you the chance to get a £5 Body Shop nail varnish for free. You'll need to download the app in order to get the deal (available through the voucher codes website), then all you have to do is tap the app to find your nearest store and get your code. Then show your code to staff and choose from the 24 available colours.
